Paranzino named Women In Sport Recipient
Sophomore Guard Honored By Region XIX
Blackwood, NJ -- Paranzino Named Woman Athlete of The Year
Camden County College Sophomore Guard, Erica Paranzino was recognized at the NJCAA Women in Sports Banquet after being named Women of the Year for Camden County College, an honor celebrating excellence in athletics, academics, and leadership.
Paranzino has been a key contributor for the Cougars on the court, known for her work ethic, leadership, and team-first mentality. In 2024-2025, she was the Team-Captain for the winningest team in program history. The former GSAC Player of the Week (2025) is currently majoring in Business Administration and is also a former Academic-All American.
Beyond her athletic performance, she has distinguished herself as a leader among her peers and a strong representative of the program within the campus community.
The Women of the Year award reflects Paranzino's dedication to balancing the demands of collegiate athletics with academic success, while also serving as a role model for fellow student-athletes. Her recognition at the NJCAA banquet underscores the positive impact she continues to make for Camden County College and women's athletics.
Coach Chip Reitano had this to say about his starting Point Guard:
"The girls and women in sports day is such a great event, and a terrific way to celebrate all the special female student-athletes in Region 19. It is always an enjoyable day and I was honored to be a part of it.
I am extremely proud of our own honoree, Erica Paranzino. She is an amazing young woman, so worthy to be recognized for her accomplishments."

Coach Chip and the Sophomore Guard, Erica hope to conclude the season strong as post-season play is right around the corner. The Lady Cougars have won their last three straight games.
Paranzino has started every game this season and is currently averaging 10.4 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4 assists. She recorded a career-high 25 points in November against Community College of Philadelphia.
