Lady Cougars win 4th straight game
Blackwood, NJ -- Lady Cougars win at home in dominant fashion
CCC WBB (7-6) delivered a statement performance last Thursday, rolling past RCSJ-Cumberland (0-12) 84–26 to claim its fourth consecutive victory.
Camden was in control from the opening tip as their defensive pressure fueled a quick start, forcing turnovers and creating quality scoring opportunities.
Cumberland struggled to keep pace as Camden capitalized on their mistakes, pushed the tempo and attacked on both ends of the floor.
The Dukes struggled to take care of the ball all contest, commiting a total of 36 turnovers, most of which forced by the Lady Cougars. In all, Camden registered 20 steals, a season high.
Going into halftime, Camden allowed just 9 total points while scoring 50 on the other end.
The second half produced mostly the same results as the Dukes scored single-digits in both quarters of play. This marks the second time this season the Lady Cougars limited their opponent to single-digit scoring in each quarter of play.
Brianna Kemble (Blackwood, NJ) stuffed the stat sheet, adding 12 points, 2 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocked shots.
Erica Paranzino (Washington Township, NJ) was steady as the primary ball handler for Coach Reitano, registering 9 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals & one blocked shot.
With the outcome decided early, Camden leaned on its depth while maintaining intensity, cruising to another convincing win.
CCC WBB produced 38 total bench points (season-high) with contributions from several players.
Angela Karamasakis (Washington Township, NJ) and Ashley Stanz (Blackwood, NJ) led the way, combining for 30 points, 11 rebounds, 8 assists & 6 steals.
Going into the winter break the Lady Cougars are now riding a four-game winning streak and have improved their overall record to 7-6.
