CAMDEN LADY COUGARS DOMINATE, WIN SECOND IN A ROW
Camden start the season 2-0, gear up for rival; Gloucester
Blackwood NJ -- Camden roll past Ocean 70-32
Camden County College Lady Cougars delivered an impressive performance on Thursday night, defeating Ocean County College 70–32 in a commanding victory.
From the opening tip the Lady Cougars controlled the pace of the game and turned defense into offense, capitalizing off of turnovers. Going into the break, Camden allowed just 11 total points. In all, the Lady Cougars registered 18 steals and 8 blocks for the entire game, an all-around defensive effort.
Offensively, the Cougars were led by a balanced attack, with three players contributing double-figure point totals. Their sharp ball movement and energy kept Ocean on its heels for all four quarters.
Sophomore Forward, Brianna Kemble (Blackwood, NJ) and Freshman Ashley Stanz (Blackwood, NJ) were stellar, shooting a combined (13-26) from the field for 29 total points while also collecting 16 rebounds and registering 6 assists collectively. Kemble also blocked 4 shots.
Freshman Forward, Angela Karamasakis finished the game with 15 points, 9 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals & 3 blocks.
With the win, Camden improves its record to 2-0 and continues to build momentum early in the season. The Lady Cougars will look to carry this strong team effort into their next matchup as they take on rival; Gloucester Saturday, November 8th at Noon.
