Lady Cougars end season with 17-22 overall record

Blackwood, NJ -- Lady Cougars fall in Region XIX playoffs, end season
The season came to an end for Camden Lady Cougar Softball (17-22, 15-13) following a pair of losses to Gloucester (35-7) & Northampton (18-12) in Region XIX playoff action this past weekend.
CCC Softball opened up their postseason slate scheduled to compete against top-seeded Gloucester, eventually falling by a final score of 11-2 in the opening round. Gloucester capitalized early and maintained control for most of the contest, sending the Lady Cougars onto the loser's side of the bracket.
In the subsequent elimination game, Camden County College faced off against Northampton Community College with their season on the line.
Camden was ready from the start in this match-up, scoring a run in each of the first three innings while limiting Northampton to zero runs up until that point. However, while Camden still led 3-0 going into the 4th inning, their bats were starting to stall.
The Lady Cougars offense would not score a run in the side while the Spartans were quietly attempting to build momentum. The Spartans would eventually bring three batters' home to even the game to 3-3 approaching the 5th inning of play.
Another run-less inning in the 5th would bring the Cougar offense to a halt while the Spartans were gradually finding their footing, scoring nine runs in the 5th and 6th combined.
While the Lady Cougars were able to respond and regain their offensive prowress in the 6th, scoring four runs, the game was now 12-7 heading into a season-defining 7th inning.
Unfortunately, the Lady Cougars were unable to create any more positive momentum, eventually falling to a score of 12-7 to end their season.
With the loss, Camden County College concludes the 2026 campaign with a 17-22 overall record. Despite the postseason setback, the Cougars showed resilience and competitiveness throughout the season while continuing to develop a strong foundation for the future of the program.
