David Mestre (Valencia, Spain) got the Cougars going with a first-half goal, his sixth of the season. Defender, Bono Wijnhoven (Blitterswijck, Netherlands) also contributed to the scoring tally, scoring a second half goal, his first of the season.
Second year defender, Bono Wijnhoven:
"It was a difficult match with the weather and field but that didn't stop us. We were able to keep our poise and win the game with a clean sheet. I'm very happy with the result and to also score my first goal of the season!".
Strong defensive play and a sharp finish by captain Bono Wijnhoven helped Camden control the match down the stretch. The win now moves them to 10-3-1 overall and keeps them in the mix at the top of the region standings.
Head Coach Dan Keefe after the match:
"As we head down the stretch and prepare for the Region Tournament, every point matters. It was massive for us to collect all three points on the road under difficult circumstances."
