The Camden County College Men's Soccer team secured a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Union College in a tightly contested matchup on the road. The win was a testament to the team's balance and solid defensive play, as they managed to hold off Union's attacking pressure throughout the match.
The lone goal of the game came when Freshman Forward, Andres Soler, capitalized on a well-placed ball from Nico Segarra to fire the ball past Union's goalkeeper. The strike proved to be enough for Camden to claim all three points and the victory.
Goalkeeper Major Evans was outstanding in goal, making key plays to preserve the shutout and ensure his team held on to the lead as he stepped in for the injured, Vigo Brander.
With this important victory, Camden County College continues to build momentum as they head into the next phase of the season. The region leading Cougars look to replicate their strong play next game as they go against a formidable Bergen CC side, who are coming off a strong offensive outing in their last matchup; riding a three-match winning streak.
Fans can look forward to this upcoming matchup with Bergen as well as a home showdown against Raritan Valley CC later in the week. The Camden County Cougars (6-0-1) take their own three-match winning streak on the road, facing off against Bergen CC on Tuesday, 9/23 at 4:00pm as well as Raritan Valley CC (5-1-1) on Thursday, 9/25 at 4:00pm. This will be a tough slate for the Cougars, who will be throughly tested by some of Region XIX's best.

The Camden County Cougars (6-0-1) will return to action on Tuesday, 9/23 as they travel to Bergen Community College (6-2) in a pivotal Region XIX matchup. Kickoff is scheduled at 4:00PM
