CAMDEN MBB CONTINUE STREAK, BEAT LUZERNE 91-65
Cougars win 4th straight game, improve to 15-8
Blackwood, NJ -- Cougars win 5th straight home game
CCC MBB (15-8) continued its hot streak, cruising to a convincing 91–65 victory over Luzerne Community College (4-19) to earn its 4th straight overall win and 5th straight at home.
Camden came out the gate strong, looking to establish themselves in the paint and control the glass. As the 1H progressed, it was clear they had an advantage inside as the under-sized Trail-Blazers struggled to protect the rim. The Cougars also created turnovers with their press defense which led to transition opportunities and easy baskets, culminating to a 47-30 halftime lead.
In the second half, Camden continued to pull away, showcasing their presence in the paint as well as their depth and balance on both ends of the floor. Consistent scoring, aggressive rebounding, and disciplined defense limited Luzerne's opportunities and prevented any sustained comeback attempt.
The 91-point performance marked the second highest point total all season for the Cougars and highlighted Camden's depth as every single player on the roster contributed to the overall scoring tally. The victory marks the Cougars' 5th straight home victory.
Freshman Guard, Kai Gatson (New Castle, DE) scored 15 points while also contributing 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals.
Zha'Mere Crawford (Wilmington, DE) added 12 points and 4 steals. This is his 5th game in a row registering at least 2 steals.
Camden (15-8) will look to carry the momentum from this dominant performance into its next matchup as the team prepares to face off against rival, Gloucester (7-18). Tip off is scheduled for Thursday 2/5 at 7:00pm.
